Mobile freezer & refrigerated trailer rental El Cajon

We deliver refrigerated trailers to El Cajon from our shop at 1175 Industrial Ave, Suite J in Escondido. Be aware up front: El Cajon is normally outside our 20-mile free delivery radius. We will still bring a trailer out there — we just quote the trip honestly before you book instead of surprising you on the invoice. Call 760-745-5252 with the address and dates.

For nearby delivery details, see our Lakeside refrigerated trailer rental page; Lakeside delivery is quoted by address.

The short version: shop-owned cooler and freezer trailers (12′ ~34–40°F+; 16′ ~−10–40°F+), delivered to El Cajon from Escondido. El Cajon is normally outside the 20-mile free delivery radius, so the trip is quoted. We deliver anyway. Shop hours are Monday–Friday, 8AM–4PM PT. Call 760-745-5252 or book online.

What El Cajon uses refrigerated trailers for

El Cajon has a deep, busy independent restaurant scene and a lot of older commercial buildings, which is a combination that produces walk-in failures. When a box goes down in the middle of a week, the choice is usually between dumping product and getting a cold trailer into the lot. That is the call we get most often from East County.

The other El Cajon use is straightforward overflow: a market, a bakery, a caterer, or a commissary that needs refrigerated square footage for a stretch — a holiday, a large order, a remodel of the cold room — without renting a second building.

Because the drive is beyond the free radius, we price the delivery and the pickup as part of the quote. That is a per-address number, not a published rate, and it depends on the dates as much as the mileage. What does not change is the equipment: the same 12-foot 120V cooler trailers and 16-foot cooler/freezer trailers, 12′ about 34°F–40°F+ and 16′ about −10°F–40°F+, either size available with or without a generator.

East County lots are often generous on space, which helps. Confirm you have either the right receptacle or the generator on the booking, because a trailer with no power is just a box.

The cooler and freezer trailers we rent

We rent cooler and freezer trailers. There is no broker catalog behind this page.

12′ refrigerated trailer — about 7 ft × 12 ft, about 34°F to 40°F+ (cooler range), runs on a standard 120V outlet. Available with or without a generator.
16′ cooler/freezer trailer — about 7 ft × 16 ft, adjustable about −10°F to 40°F+ (freezer through cooler). Power depends on the unit: the 12′ and one of our 16′ trailers run on a standard 120V outlet; another 16′ needs a 220V 30-amp outlet (or add a generator). Available with or without a generator.

Our trailers are about seven feet wide inside, which is wider than most of the refrigerated trailer rentals advertised around San Diego County, which are commonly six feet wide. The 12′ holds cooler-range (about 34°F to 40°F+). The 16′ is adjustable about −10°F to 40°F+ for freezer through cooler. They hold temperature; they are not blast freezers, so load product already cold.

If the El Cajon site has no receptacle you can count on, add the generator. It is the single most common thing people get wrong on a first rental.

Booking a trailer for El Cajon

Have four things ready: the delivery address in El Cajon, your start and end dates, whether you need cooler-range or freezer-range temperature, and a description of where the trailer will sit — gates, slope, overhead clearance, and who will be on site to meet the driver. A photo of the spot is worth more than a paragraph about it.

Then call 760-745-5252, request an estimate, or book online. We answer and schedule during shop hours, Monday–Friday 8AM–4PM PT. For planned rentals we schedule during shop hours (Monday–Friday 8AM–4PM PT). For 24-hour emergency refrigerated trailer / mobile freezer dispatch when a walk-in fails, call or text Rick at 619-905-3392. If your dates fall outside those hours, ask — the answer depends on the schedule.

More detail on the units, the full delivery map, and the FAQs lives on the main refrigerated trailer rental page. Related shop work: all services, custom gaskets, and walk-in cooler repair.
