Refrigerated trailer rental Vista
Vista is one of the closest cities to our Escondido shop at 1175 Industrial Ave, Suite J — well inside the 20-mile free delivery radius. We rent two shop-owned refrigerated trailers and deliver and pick them up ourselves. No broker, no subcontracted driver.
The short version: two shop-owned refrigerated trailers, both holding 0–35°F, delivered to Vista from Escondido. Delivery and pickup in Vista are free because the city is inside 20 miles of the Escondido shop. Shop hours are Monday–Friday, 8AM–4PM PT. Call 760-745-5252 or book online.
What Vista uses refrigerated trailers for
The Vista business park district is the reason we get so many calls from that city. Breweries, beverage producers, bakeries, and small food manufacturers are packed into the industrial blocks around Business Park Drive, and those operations run cold storage right at the edge of capacity by design. When a production run spikes, a cold room goes down, or a co-packing job lands, a trailer in the yard is the fastest way to add refrigerated square footage without touching the building.
Those same buildings usually have the power. A 220V 30 amp receptacle is common in a Vista industrial space, which makes the 16-foot cooler/freezer trailer the easy pick there — more room, and no generator needed if the plug is where you can reach it with the trailer parked legally. If you are in a retail suite instead, the 12-foot on a standard 120V outlet is the safer bet.
Vista restaurants and caterers use the trailers the same way everyone else does: holiday volume, a remodel, or a walk-in that quit on the wrong day. Give us the dates first; the calendar is what limits us, not the drive.
The two trailers we rent
We rent two units and only two units. There is no catalog behind this page.
- 12′ refrigerated trailer — about 7 ft × 12 ft, 0–35°F, runs on a standard 120V outlet. Available with or without a generator.
- 16′ cooler/freezer trailer — about 7 ft × 16 ft, 0–35°F, needs a 220V 30 amp plug. Available with or without a generator.
Both are about seven feet wide inside, which is wider than most of the refrigerated trailer rentals advertised around San Diego County, which are commonly six feet wide. Both hold anywhere in the 0–35°F band, so the same trailer works as a cooler or as a freezer depending on the setpoint — tell us which end you need when you book. They hold temperature; they are not blast freezers, so load product already cold.
If the Vista site has no receptacle you can count on, add the generator. It is the single most common thing people get wrong on a first rental.
Booking a trailer for Vista
Have four things ready: the delivery address in Vista, your start and end dates, whether you need cooler-range or freezer-range temperature, and a description of where the trailer will sit — gates, slope, overhead clearance, and who will be on site to meet the driver. A photo of the spot is worth more than a paragraph about it.
Then call 760-745-5252, request an estimate, or book online. We answer and schedule during shop hours, Monday–Friday 8AM–4PM PT. We do not run a 24-hour dispatch, and we would rather tell you that than promise a midnight drop we cannot make. If your dates fall outside those hours, ask — the answer depends on the schedule.
More detail on the units, the full delivery map, and the FAQs lives on the main refrigerated trailer rental page. Related shop work: all services, custom gaskets, and walk-in cooler repair.
