Mobile freezer rental La Jolla — refrigerated trailer rental
Looking for mobile freezer rental La Jolla, freezer trailer rental La Jolla, or refrigerated trailer rental La Jolla for a coastal wedding, a Prospect Street kitchen, or a UCSD-adjacent event? Left Coast Refrigeration delivers shop-owned cooler and freezer trailers from Escondido. We also provide portable freezer rental, cooler-trailer setpoints, and mobile cold storage when the venue will not give you the building walk-in — or when that walk-in has already failed.
La Jolla is a quoted delivery from our shop at 1175 Industrial Ave, Suite J, Escondido — usually outside the 20-mile free-delivery circle. We still roll. We quote the trip by street address, trailer, access, and dates, and we confirm loading before the truck leaves because Village alleys, hotel docks, and private drives are tight. No surprise mileage on the invoice.

Coastal weddings, catering, and restaurant overflow
The planned La Jolla job is almost always an event. Caterers and planners book a freezer trailer or cooler trailer for receptions on a lawn, a club, a private home, or a hotel that will not hand over the house walk-in. Frozen backup, plated product, and beverage cold storage have to sit on the same lot as service — that is mobile cold storage, not a reach-in in a hallway. Send the event date first. Coastal Saturday dates fill a calendar, and we book them during weekday shop hours.
Access is the constraint, not mileage. Village streets, valet lots, HOA rules, height bars on hotel docks, and steep private drives are why we ask for a photo and the property-manager rule before we leave Escondido. If the only legal spot is a closed street or a banquet lawn with no receptacle, add the generator. A trailer that cannot be spotted — or cannot be powered — does not help the wedding.
The emergency version is a restaurant walk-in that fails. La Jolla kitchens are often small, high-volume, and already at capacity. When the box dies, there is nowhere in-house to move product. The trailer holds it; the same refrigeration shop can inspect the cooler (gasket, door, floor — see commercial refrigeration services) instead of stretching a rental because nobody will diagnose the actual problem.
UCSD-adjacent and UTC catering, conference overflow, and restaurant groups along the campus edge use the same equipment. We are a food-service cold-storage shop, not a medical-lab vendor — tell us what is going inside (food, beverage, catering) and the temperature you need.

Quoted delivery from Escondido — not a La Jolla yard
We do not keep a satellite shop or staged fleet in La Jolla. Cooler and freezer trailers leave Escondido and come back to Escondido. Free delivery is within 20 miles of the Escondido shop. La Jolla is typically beyond that line, so the trip is quoted. That is the honest difference between a North County drop and a coastal one — not a different trailer, a different invoice line you see before you book.
Cooler trailer vs freezer trailer — La Jolla specs
We rent cooler and freezer trailers. Our trailers are about 7 feet wide inside. Most refrigerated trailer rentals advertised in San Diego County are 6 feet wide. The extra foot is the aisle when caterers are loading sheet pans in a rush.
- 12′ refrigerated trailer (cooler) — about 7 ft wide, 120V, about 34–40°F+ (cooler range). Generator optional. Often the right unit when the only reachable power is a wall outlet behind the kitchen.
- 16′ cooler/freezer trailer — about 7 ft wide, power: standard 120V or 220V 30-amp, depending on the unit, adjustable about −10°F to 40°F+. Book it as a freezer trailer or as a cooler. Generator optional — and often the default at lawns, closed streets, and hotel lots with no 30-amp receptacle where the unit can sit.
These units hold temperature. They are not blast freezers. Load product already cold. We do not claim NSF certification on this page. If you need a number colder than about −10°F, say so before we book.

Call 760-745-5252 (Mon–Fri 8AM–4PM) with the exact lot — not “La Jolla” — so we can price access and mileage together. After hours, emergency dispatch is Rick 619-905-3392.
What temperatures can a La Jolla mobile freezer hold?
The 12-foot cooler trailer holds about 34–40°F+. The 16-foot freezer trailer is adjustable from about −10°F to 40°F+. Tell us cooler-range or freezer-range. More detail: refrigerated trailer rental hub.
What power does a La Jolla freezer trailer need?
Power depends on the unit: the 12′ and one of our 16′ trailers run on a standard 120V outlet; another 16′ needs a 220V 30-amp outlet (or add a generator). Coastal venues — lawns, clubs, hotels, private homes — often have no reliable shore power in a legal parking spot. Book the generator rather than guessing the morning of the wedding. Confirm the receptacle (or the generator) before delivery day.
