Walk-in heater wires
Heater wires in door frames, mullions, sweeps, and thresholds keep frost off seals so a freezer door can close and the gasket survives. Left Coast Refrigeration installs and replaces frame and floor heater wires as part of door jobs, gasket work, and walk-in refurbs from our Escondido shop.
If the door is freezing shut, the gasket is tearing on ice, or frost builds at the threshold every night, say that when you call. A new gasket on a door with a dead frame heater will fail the same way. Shop hours are Monday–Friday, 8AM–4PM PT — call 760-745-5252.
Symptoms we see
- Door freezes shut overnight or after a defrost cycle
- Ice at the jamb, sweep, or threshold
- Gasket torn or peeled where frost builds
- Staff chipping ice instead of latching the door
Heater wire work often pairs with custom gaskets, custom doors, door hardware, and freezer floors. We do not invent 24/7 refrigerant emergency service on this page — daytime shop service for the mechanical envelope of the walk-in.
