What Encinitas uses refrigerated trailers for

Encinitas trailer rentals are mostly restaurant and event driven. The Coast Highway 101 restaurant row is built out of small buildings with small walk-ins, so summer volume, a festival weekend, or a catering commitment can exhaust cold storage fast. A trailer in the back lot solves it for a defined window without a construction project.

Parking is the real Encinitas problem, not the drive. Many of those restaurants share a compact lot or rely on street parking, and an roughly 7-foot-wide trailer needs a legitimate spot for the whole rental — not a stall you need back on Friday night. If your building cannot host the trailer, sometimes a neighboring business or a property manager can, but that is a conversation to have before you give us dates.

The other Encinitas call is a failed walk-in in an older coastal building. Corroded hardware, tired gaskets, and doors that no longer seal are common near the water. The trailer keeps product cold while we assess whether the box needs a gasket, a door, a floor, or a refurbishment.

The two trailers we rent

12′ refrigerated trailer — about 7 ft × 12 ft, 0–35°F, runs on a standard 120V outlet. Available with or without a generator.
16′ cooler/freezer trailer — about 7 ft × 16 ft, 0–35°F, needs a 220V 30 amp plug. Available with or without a generator.

Both are about seven feet wide inside, which is wider than most of the refrigerated trailer rentals advertised around San Diego County, which are commonly six feet wide. Both hold anywhere in the 0–35°F band, so the same trailer works as a cooler or as a freezer depending on the setpoint — tell us which end you need when you book. They hold temperature; they are not blast freezers, so load product already cold.

If the Encinitas site has no receptacle you can count on, add the generator. It is the single most common thing people get wrong on a first rental.

Booking a trailer for Encinitas

Have four things ready: the delivery address in Encinitas, your start and end dates, whether you need cooler-range or freezer-range temperature, and a description of where the trailer will sit — gates, slope, overhead clearance, and who will be on site to meet the driver.
