What Santee uses refrigerated trailers for
The Santee calls we see are a mix of event and emergency. Park and field events out that way often have plenty of room to spot a trailer and no power worth relying on, which makes the generator option the default rather than an upsell. Get the event date to us early; weekend dates get committed well ahead, and we book them during weekday shop hours.
The emergency version is a walk-in or a reach-in bank that failed at a restaurant, market, or school kitchen. In that case the trailer is a bridge: it holds product at 12′ ~34–40°F+ / 16′ ~−10–40°F+ while somebody diagnoses the box. Since we are a refrigeration shop and not a rental broker, we can talk about both the trailer and the repair in the same call rather than handing you off.
Santee’s commercial lots are typically easier than the coastal cities — more pavement, better truck access — but confirm slope and overhead clearance anyway, and make sure the spot is one you can give up for the full rental window rather than a stall you need back.

- 12′ refrigerated trailer — about 7 ft × 12 ft, about 34°F to 40°F+ (cooler range), runs on a standard 120V outlet. Available with or without a generator.
- 16′ cooler/freezer trailer — about 7 ft × 16 ft, adjustable about −10°F to 40°F+ (freezer through cooler), power: standard 120V or 220V 30-amp, depending on the unit. Available with or without a generator.
Our trailers are about seven feet wide inside, which is wider than most of the refrigerated trailer rentals advertised around San Diego County, which are commonly six feet wide. The 12′ holds cooler-range (about 34°F to 40°F+). The 16′ is adjustable about −10°F to 40°F+ for freezer through cooler. They hold temperature; they are not blast freezers, so load product already cold.
If the Santee site has no receptacle you can count on, add the generator. It is the single most common thing people get wrong on a first rental.
